Apple ID disabled from iTunes

why is my Apple ID saying that my account is disabled from iTunes and the App Store. Even thought I can still download apps I just cant update them.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

If you only gets the message when updating apps, it is likely that those apps were downloaded with another apple ID than the one you are currently signed into.


If so you can solve the issue by deleting the apps and redownload them, thus connecting them to your new account.


This is a user to user support forum, so we do not know why the original apple ID was disabled


If your account is disabled in iTunes you will need to contact apple to be able to unlock it.
