2019 Macbook Pro Temperature

Hello all,

I recently bought a 2019 macbook pro a few months ago. I notice whenever i use it it feels pretty hot...I never hear the fans go off. I've ran the apple Hardware diagnostics, as well as someone from apple genius bar running a diagnostics and found no issue with the hardware.

I downloaded an app that tells me the temperature of the CPU and GPU...

I'm running Safari, Messages and Photoshop (Dealing with large files) at the same time and it's reaching a temperature of 142 Fahrenheit 55-60 degrees Celsius

Is this normal? Is my computer running too hot? any advice as to how I could use it without damaging it?

SPECS: 2019 Macbook Pro 2019

2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

16GB 2667 MHz DDR4

AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

thank you in advance,

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.3

You can try both—

Try resetting the SMC How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures

try the charger plugged into the right side ports and any other in the left hand ports to keep separated.

—Casual use the integrated Intel UHD gfx is used...

—High demand apps like you photoshop kicks in the Discrete graphics AMD Radeon Pro 5500M and yes it can get warm.

If the mac gets too hot it will shut itself down.

third party software— like apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

all known to cause issues on the macOS. And I would uninstall and compare your results.

I just got off the phone with apple support, they remotely just checked everything and everything is in great condition.

She had me reset my SMC and i immediately finally heard my fans go off, i hadnt heard them in a while. ShouldI still proceed to resetting NVRAM/PRAM just incase?

Also i have sentinel Anti virus running constantly...is it best I just delete it?

Thank you all for your help!
