Fixing Directory Mapping After Transferring to New Mac

I transferred from my old Air to a new Pro. The file mapping however still reflects the old Air directory. An example of this is when I open a file in the new Pro it will show up in "Recents". If I click on the file, it says that the file isn't found.

I suspect it is because the mapping in the new Pro still reflects the old Air like below:

Users/****personalair/Desktop/Business Case

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Your user account name being the same as it was on the old Mac is not the problem. That’s what migration does, create an identical user account on the new Mac.

Since Recents is a Search folder, there might be something wrong with your Spotlight index. Try rebuilding Spotlight.
