Hello ~ No. Take a look here in case you don’t find it:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
If you think it may be lost close by …call the iPhone and perhaps you will be able to hear it ringing.

I know it is my room because I heard my phone alarm this morning. And I also realize that I could be considered a thief by asking this question....but I am not!
I am just a person who is absent minded!
Thanks! I never worried about losing it when I first got an iPhone just for this feature. But somehow this feature was changed with an update of some sort. Unfortunately I didn't seek a remedy until I couldn't find it this morning because I could always find it. Thanks for responding and will update this feed when I do find it!
Sorry no. That option cannot be activated remotely.

I would have done that to begin with, but my ringer is off!
But thanks for the tip
Hello again ~ Good luck finding it.

I finally found my phone and the app was indeed off! tysvm for your suggestions!
Hello ~ Glad you found it. Make sure to activate Find My again. Good work.

This feature has never changed since it was first implemented 12 years ago. If it was off on your phone you had to turn it off; it is on by default.
I have never turned it off! Are you sure that it could have been turned off with an update? Everything that goes into a computers software can be manipulated, even by mistake......
No, updates never turn it off. And to turn it off you must enter your Apple ID password because it also enables Activation Lock, Apple’s theft deterrent feature.
