Apple News Email Subscription stopped

(new to iPhone SE 3rd gen, iOS 15.4.1)

After we got our (1 red, 1 midnight) new phones in March, I set up my Apple ID, iCloud, etc. The next day I started getting a daily email of Today's Apple News. I haven't decided if I'm going to subscribe to News+ yet.

The emails came for a few weeks and then stopped -- why? I've checked the notifications & emails in the News App, it was set on. I even toggled it off and reset it, but the daily newsletter still is not arriving.

Thanks for the clarification,

According to this: Manage emails that you receive from Apple

It might take up to five days to start or stop receiving messages, depending on your request.

When five days have passed and you still haven’t received the newsletter, we recommend contacting Apple Support to look into this issue further with you: Get Support
