Keep in mind that if you had intermittent issues before 12.3.1, then something was not working properly back then. I don't know if the issue is the dock itself, but it seems to have been flawed before the 12.3.1 update. When the MacOS is changed, the way the flaw manifests itself might change, but this sounds different than a dock working perfectly before that then changed. I have had docks simply stop working, one port stopped in one case, in another one a Thunderbolt port was intermittent and the HDMI connection caused a flickering screen.

If you can do a controlled experiment to convince yourself one by one that each peripheral works properly when connected directly to the Mac, then I'd be suspicious of the dock. It's unfortunate when this happens because some of these docks are $200 or more.

Have you tried it as a guest user, the old standby?

I have a TB Kensington dock that has additional TB ports along with USB and an SD card reader. I have seen no issues although Monterey has surfaced port reliability issues since it was released. I have found that that different cables act differently with Monterey (some good connection and others not).
