Watch won’t take take passcode

My watch has repeatedly had the battery die and turn off. When I took it off the charger this past time, it will not take my passcode so that can try to figure out what’s causing such a power drain. Any suggestions as to how to get watch to “let me in”?

Watch showing too much passcode attempts reset apple watch and pair again I tried to press and hold power off option but no pop up for erase and reset is showing up. I also tried force shut the watch by pressing the crown and side button together and than releasing while the apple logo pops up and than after few seconds holding the side button. none of this works
