Numbers - Insert Current Date in footer

Hi there,


2 quick questions


1. Is there any way to access the Header or Footer other than in print preview?


2. is there way in insert current date in the footer as it seems to be renned in the menu bar when you are in the footer?

No. File > Print or command-p is the way to get to the Header or Footer of a document.


But one you're there, be sure to click in one of the three areas in the Footer (or Header) first (so that the cursor flashes in it) before going to Insert > Date & Time in the menu.

You can insert the date (and time) from the Insert menu. I don't think it updates automatically. If you click on the date in the header/footer you can click "set date" and it will update to the current date and time.


If you need the date to automatically be updated, you could use the TODAY or NOW function in a cell vs using the page header/footer. You could do it in a separate one-cell table.
