Hand washing not working no reminder

Since Watch OS7 my Watch doesn't give Hand Wash reminders anymore. Tried everything with Apple support for 1 1/2 hours by phone. Unpairing, re-pairing, clean setup. My address in Contacts is correct, all settings are ok. (Using Apple Watch 5 with iPhone 13 Pro Max.) I'm more or less convinced it's a software problem. Apple support suggested that it's probably some hardware defect in the Watch, which didn't appear in the Apple Watch report that they took from the watch. And the problem started after a Watch OS update, I've never bumped the Watch or damaged it in any other way. My experience with Apple support is that they never 'seem' to know if there is a known software issue. Has anybody else been able to tackle this problem? If you have the same problem please share.
