I have an iPod Touch -5th generation. Originally I downloaded songs and albums from CDs. When I got my iphone and iMac, I synced the devices and all songs transferred except for the ones that I had downloaded from CD. What do I have to do?

You either have to redownload your CD's to iTunes (or Finder) and then sync. Or use a 3rd party app to transfer them to your computer and then to the iPhone. Do a search on Transfer music from iPod to computer.

You can also purchase a USB external CD/DVD drive for under $20 from Amazon or eBay, etc. Good thing to have in any case.
I believe you can download your CDs into Finder on your Mac and then sync with your iPod.
I do still have my cd's , but no way to download onto my iMac, since I got rid of my PC with a cd and dvd drive a year ago. I know this seems antiquated, but on the other hand, I don't want to buy all those songs. I will check out the "search" that you suggested. Thanks for your help.
I like this idea alot. I was getting very discouraged with all the trouble. ( When I originally loaded these songs it was a big deal because i had them on a sony walkman and had to convert all of them for my ipod.) I am energized now with this possibility that seems like it will work for me. And will get the external drive. Do I download them to my iMac desktop? to the Music app? Thank you.
