Thank you for the information.

An HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 All-In-One Printer is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support, so that model should work with AirPrint.

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Hopefully, the aforementioned procedure (in the described order) will allow the iPhone to become recognised.

Hi,

Which exact printer make and model are you using?

An AirPrint-enabled printer will allow printing from an iPhone without additional apps. This provided that the printer and the iPhone are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

In case of difficulties with AirPrint, and if the setup is OK, one could try the following procedure:

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the iPhone, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

It may be possible to use an iPhone for printing with a non-AirPrint printer model, but only if the printer manufacturer has a special app for the model in question.
