Want to use Apple Watch SE in Ecuador UNPAIRED from iPhone. Is this possible?

I asked apple and T-Mobile and both kind of have conflicting answers. But apple said to go to Claro a provider here in Ecuador and get a chip? I already have a T-Mobile chip in my iPhone. Is this a necessary step? If I knew this I wouldn’t have bothered buying the Apple Watch SE.

Family setup no longer available in Australia - Truphone not taking more customers I bought my daughter an apple watch so we could contact her without needing to get her a phone. We specifically chose the apple watch so we could control contacts etc We bought one for our son about a year earlier and it works well. However, this is no longer an option as Truphone (the sole provider in AU) is no longer taking new customers. As a result family setup isnt working in AU. We returned the watch and apple gave us a refund. Apple have not updated their website and Ive tried emailing and calling no no avail. My question is this - Does anyone know if Apple is working on finding an alternative MVNO or carrier for this service? Im still keen to get one for my daughter, but if no fix is coming then I'll just move on. It would be good if Apple would change its website or at least acknowledge my complaint.. If anyone has any insight be great to hear. cheers

apple watch can a series 1 apple watch pair with a se second generation? every time i try to pair i get a notification that i’m not connected to the internet, but i am. my phone is updated to the ios 16.2

Apple Watch resetting to New York and Cupertino All I just got a new iPhone 14 pro and synced it to my Apple Watch 6. Most apps work fine but the weather keeps resetting to New York and Cupertino instead of about 20 other cities on my iPhone. Both devices are on their latest os versions and I restarted both number of times. I also unpaired and paired it. I tried Apple support but they were clueless. I also deleted NY and Cupertino from my watch but they keep reappearing The weather app worked fine on my old iPhone 8. The cities show fine in my Apple Watch app on iPhone, just not on my Apple Watch. Anybody knows the fix? Thanks

Oh ok thanks. I thought I could have used the Apple Watch SE in Ecuador without it being paired. I will return it. Thanks!

an apple watch is not a stand alone device and it must be paired to an iphone.
