wifi assist sometimes inhibits mobile data on iphone. I turn off wifi and then my mobile data works. What gives?
Wifi has precedence over mobile Data. If you enable WiFi Assist then this is taken care of when you have a poor WiFi signal by connecting to Cellular Data.
Except it’s happening when I have a 4 bars LTE and I’ve disconnected wifi in an area where I don’t see any saved or familiar networks. I have to turn wifi all the way in settings to remedy some instances.
Well this doesn’t work whatsoever when my internet is out (construction cut the cable past the dmarc) but I have a full 5G & LTE signal, WiFi is connected locally as is my SmartTV but “Oh no… Apple is playing daddy and protecting me from myself”. So I can’t cast to the TV and access my content via MY carrier’s cellular data where my plan includes UNLIMITED data. Like seriously
