why can't i find the itunes download via the itunes store anymore?
where is the itunes store? i simply want to buy a song/album

You can still buy music from iTunes Store Intro to the iTunes Store in Music on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
You don't need to subscribe to Apple Music.
