Lost iCloud drive icon on Mac desktop. Mac OS 12.3.1, M1 chip

Some how I have fat-fingered and lost the iCloud drive icon on my desktop. But I can access everything through iCloud.com, so I haven't lost it.

How can I get the icon back? It was handy.

Adding Back the iCloud iCloud:

Disable, then enable, iCloud on this Mac. iCloud is a service --not an App.

Thanks. I started to look into your suggestion and realized that I don't understand enough about iCloud, so I have registered for training. At some point I'll follow your advice after I understand what I'm doing.

Disabling and enabling iCloud on this Mac are not single click operations, they like opportunities for confusion and temporary panic when I think I've lost all the data. So, back to basics.
