How do I connect my MacBook Camara to the Skype app?

Have you given Skype permission to access your camera? It looks like you've had the chance to review If your built-in camera isn’t working on your Mac, but let's follow these specific steps from that resource:

Give apps permission

If your Mac is using macOS Mojave or later, choose which apps can use your built-in camera:

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Security & Privacy.

2. Click the Privacy tab, then click Camera in the sidebar.

3. Select the checkbox next to the apps that you want to use your camera in. You might be prompted to quit and reopen an app before it can use your camera.

 If the issue continues, let the community know if the camera works when you try the following test: 

Try another app

Try to use your camera in another app. For example, if you can't use your camera in FaceTime, open Photo Booth

This will tell us if your camera is working at all.

If this only happens with Skype, you can delete an app on your Mac, then reinstall it. Use the steps below to delete the app in Finder:

Locate the app in the Finder. Most apps are in your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or use Spotlight to find the app, then press and hold the Command (⌘) key while double-clicking the app in Spotlight.

Drag the app to the Trash, or select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.

If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is probably the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.

To delete the app, choose Finder > Empty Trash.
