I keep getting this message: This Mac cannot connect to Apple Media Services because of a problem with xxxxxxx @ xxxxxxxxx. Open Apple ID preferences to fix this problem.
When I open the preferences I see nothing to enter or connect. The xxxx @ xxx is my wife's email, NOT mine. weird.

Have you tried rebooting the machine?
A number of system services offline, however they should all be back online now as shown here: Apple - System Status

Yes, check you wife computer.
It may be that on your Mac media services is requiring your wife's ID.
Have you used this same media from your Mac before?
Just what are you doing when you get the message (what media service?)?
You can also try on your Mac going to iCloud.com and try to sign into here account.
I updated to 12.4 and rebooted. Two days later I still am getting this: This Mac cannot connect to Apple Media Services because of a problem with xxxxxxx @ xxxxxxxxx. Open Apple ID preferences to fix this problem.
AND the email listed is one for my wife. Should I open her computer and check it?
