I mistakenly deleted several songs from my MacBook Pro. I performed a backup from an earlier date on my Time Machine, but it didn't show the deleted songs. Is there a file in the system folder that I should delete?

You should be able to drill down in the Time Machine backup to locate the three specific songs. Restore them to your desktop, then move the files into the Automatically Add to Music folder in your media folder to add them back to the library.

I finally got it all figured out-- the songs were all there-- I just had to play them to get them back in the library.

Where were those songs originally purchased from? Are those songs still in the trash? Also, are the original files still appearing in Home/Music/?

I know how to restore from Time Machine. I have tried to restore Music from Time Machine going back several earlier backups, but for whatever reason, even the older backups aren't restoring the complete Music file-- this is frustrating. I was wondering if some files in my System Folder are prohibiting this from happening. Any other suggestions?
Songs are not in the trash. I purchased some from Amazon when iTunes was still in existence, and I copied some from existing CD's. Original files are not showing in Home/Music, I was too quick to delete everything-- even the previous iTunes folder.
