Transferring data via iCloud
I just got a new Iphone XR, i just backed up the old phone (the one i’m using now) so i can transfer via icloud. How long will it take to transfer 8.86 gigabytes?.

How long? It's difficult to say because everyone's situation is different.
However, if you use Quick Start and then as the final part of Quick Start restore your backup to your new iPhone it won't take too long. Setting up my most recent new iPhone took about half an hour.
Following that, when your new iPhone is ready for use your apps will download from your App Store account.
