Burning a CD

There might indeed be a fault with your drive. You cannot burn anything that is in the cloud, or comes from an Apple Music subscription, but assuming that isn't the issue then at least consider hardware issues. What is the exact text of the error message? Are you using good quality writable media? Can you burn a data disc from Windows?

There is a new build out today. Might be worth trying that. Also right-click on the playlist name in the sidebar and click Burn Playlist to Disc there rather than using the playlist menu.
