Playback speed not available on Mac?

My MacBookAir does not have a "playback speed" option under controls (where Apple help says it is), not anywhere else that I can find. On my phone in podcasts, it's very easy to adjust the playback speed (I typically bump up to 1.5x speed), but it is nowhere to be found on the web version in iTunes podcasts. Anyone else?
