How can I upload photos from a Panasonic ZX300 to my MacBook Pro
Two ways.
Connect the camera to a USB port so that it shows as a drive (you may need to put the camera into PC mode when you connect it if that option comes up on the screen). When you camera shows up as a drive in finder, you can then import the photos from that drive in the photos app - or if you don't want to use photos, use the image capture app to put them into a folder.
Alternatively take the card out of the camera and plug it into a card reader. If you mac doesn't have card slot, you'll need to buy a USB card reader compatible with your memory cards. Then proceed as above.

Just the same as any other camera. You can connect the camera to the Mac with a USB cable. (For exact details see the camera manual). Or you can put the card from the camera into a card reader. Depending on your Mac there may be one built-in. If not, 3rd party ones are inexpensive. From there you can import the images to Photos, or, if using some other app, check the manual on that.
