How to restore finder column view?

Hello,

I am trying to restore my finder column view bar adjustments from the double bar in the bottom. In other word, I want to be able to adjust the columns from any position in the finder and not having to go down to the double bar and drag or choose a specific adjustments. Please see the two images.

How do I change the width of the lines between columns in Finder's column view? If you look at the two photos included in this post, you'll see that in the FIRST photo (below), Finder is in column view and the line between the columns is very thin. That's how my Finder has always appeared. However, about two hours ago, the view suddenly changed and now I have these REALLY thick lines between the columns, as you can see in the SECOND photo (below). What the heck?! I cannot find any way to get back to the thin lines. How do I do that? Please help! Thank you!

The Finder window Column Slider in Monterey 12.4 The column slider control used to be at the top of the finder window. It has now changed to be at the bottom of the window which makes no sense at all. Anyway, is there a way to get the column slider control "II" back to the top of the window? Also, is there a way to "save" the column widths so that I don't have to use said annoying slider as much? [Edited by Moderator]

Annoying new grab handle UI in Finder to resize columns Does anyone else find the new grab handle UI in Finder (to resize column width) annoying? Now you have to move with the mouse to the bottom of the Finder window, hit the grab handle, and then travel back up whereas with the previous UI you could resize columns anywhere on the divider line. Or am I missing something? This is really in my way. Any workarounds? Thanks in advance!

Deselect Always in System Preferences > General, and select Always based on Mouse or Trackpad.

Under VIew in FInder there is menu item for Show Path Bar
