Allowing Tracking

I want to be able to log in to Facebook with Sims FreePlay to play with my friends but I can’t do that as I can’t turn tracking on. The minimum age requirement is 18, I’m 18 and will be 19 in 2 months. Why won’t it allow me to turn it on than? It doesn’t make any since to me. Can anyone help me out? I’ve tried everything to try and be able to turn it on.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Hello honda_4,

This page helps to go over the reasons that you may not be able to enable the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" option: If an app asks to track your activity - Apple Support

The page helps to note the following reasons that it may not be able to be enabled:

• For users with child accounts or under age 18 by birth year, signed in with their Apple ID*
• If your Apple ID is managed by an educational or business institution
• If your device is managed and uses a configuration profile that limits tracking
• If your Apple ID was created in the last 3 days

You can check for profiles that are installed at Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management. Regarding the age, you can use the link here to update the Apple ID's date of birth here, if it shows as being inaccurate there: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support

Cheers.

honda_4,

We have some steps that can help you with checking your birth date on file with your Apple ID. Here's how to do this:

On the web
1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
2. Select Personal Information, then choose Birthday.
3. Update your birth date and click Save. If you're changing a birth date for a child, learn what to do

Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you might be required to provide additional information or change your Apple ID username from a mobile phone number to an email address.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Go to Settings > [your name].
2. Tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email. You might need to enter your Apple ID password.
3. Tap Change Birthday or Birthday.
4. Update your birth date, then tap Done. If you're changing a birth date for a child, learn what to do

This information is from Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID.

Regards.
