Apple TV 4K - No Settings menu = No OS Update

There is an Apple emergency security update for Apple TVs. I do not have a Settings > Software Update menu selection. Already tried power shut down hard reboot. Help please, thanks

You should be able to find the ‘Settings’ app on the home screen. Press Menu (or < ) repeatedly if you are not currently on the home screen. ‘Settings’ may be (accidentally) moved from the expected/default location.

Your photo shows the Apple TV app on a third party device.

It is not what the screen for the Apple TV 4K box (Apple TV hardware) looks like.

The tvOS 15.5 update does not apply to third party devices.

Thank you for your time. It sounds like I do not need/nor can use the 15.5 security update. If so, I will cancel my Genius Bar appointment. It is too bad the Apple support agent on the phone could not tell me this.

Yes, thank you for the info. I have been accessing the Settinga all along. Still no menu item to Software Update. I pulled power for 2 min, and Reset Apple info.
