Mac Mail. Show Date Received instead of 'yesterday' or a blank for today.

Date Received:

  • For days before yesterday it shows the date and the time.
  • For messages dated yesterday, 'yesterday' and the time.
  • For messages dated today it shows no date, just the time.

There used to be no way to change this. Has one been introduced (this is now May 2022)?

It might be important to show the date an acknowledgement or warranty was received as an email. My work-around is to 'print' as PDF. This obligingly provides a line for each of From, Subject, Date, and To. For Date it shows both date and time.
