Accessing files
I cant access files as it requires me to authenticate first i have restarted my phone twice

The Files app stores files in iCloud Drive. The authentication you're seeing may be for your Apple ID in iCloud.
On your iPhone, if you go to Settings > At the top, do you see your name? > If not, you may need to sign in with your Apple ID.
What happens if you follow the authentication request?
Another thought, is that the files wanting to access are protected with a password.
Can you access the files at the iCloud website?
