I just heard a story about a friend that ordered an iPhone through the Apple internet website. Apple send the order through Uber eats which is not a trustworthy carrier and Uber said it was delivered, but nothing was recieved by her. She then called Apple to fix this and apple said they were not responsible for the failed delivery of the iphone and dont want to give Any kind of refund. Apple NY is not a secure company for online purchases.
Any purchase from an official Apple website will never get delivered by Uber. It would be interesting to find out the exact internet site that was used for this purchase. I don’t think it would have been an official Apple site.
I know what happened to this person because I know this person, not personally but I know about the problem, this is just a horrible thing that Apple is doing and they should give a refund because Uber is something you can’t trust at all with a delivery and she didn’t even get the phone.
I am amazed at how poorly Apple has handled this situation… They need to take responsibility of this circumstance and give this customer a proper solution. The fact that Apple sent such an expensive product through Uber Eats is really inappropriate… this says a lot about the company, I personally think is a lack professionalism from their logistics department. I hope your friend gets an answer from Apple as soon as possible, and if they can’t manage to deliver the iPhone properly, I think the best thing they should do is to give the customer their money back and some kind of discount or extra money as a compensation for this whole situation.
As Apple said, Uber indicated that they Made the delivery of the IPhone. However they do not have proof that the phone was actually delivered. No document was recieved by us and we did not sign anything.
Apple wouldn't tell you that they are not responsible for its delivery. Nor would they refuse to make sure you got the phone you ordered. If you are speaking to someone at Apple and they say otherwise, ask to speak to their supervisor or something.

wow, exactly the same thing happened to me, I ordered the cell phone through the apple website in nyc and it never arrived. I spoke with apple and they told me that they couldn't do anything, I put my complaint in the apple support community and they took it down... this shows the lack of empathy and responsibility that the company has with its customers
That is the whole problem, she did order It through apple official website and even called after to tell apple and themselves said that it was delivered through Uber Eats.
Also, if the phone was purchased from Apple, they would not say that they are not responsible for its failed delivery.
That is exactly what she thought, and also what I think would be obvious but she called, I called support and that is what Apple said multiple times.
