AirPods stop playing

My airpod pros have started to stop playing while in use. I have disconnected and reconnected. I have forgot device and repaired and I have turned off the auto ear detection. Tried turning auto ear detection again. They are always still connected but it switches back to my phones speaker if I’m on a call, web call. They pause my music and audio books. What can I do?

Check the microphone and speaker mesh on each AirPod. If you see any debris, clean your AirPods using the guidelines in this article, and see if that fixes the issue. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Balance, and make sure that the balance is set in the middle.
