Hope someone can help…
Ive bought a USB type c flash drive to clear my iPhone 12 of all the photographs and videos that are filling it up to the max.
However it obviously doesn’t fit the lighting port. Can anyone advise the correct adapter or cable in order to connect my flash drive to the iPhone. Online there are lots of options and I don’t know what’s right.

If the iPhone / iPad has an Apple Lightnng connection port, you can use a SanDisk iXpand flash drive to use as an external hard drive. They are available in various sizes.

Usual would be to enable iCloud Photos on your iPhone, and also on your Windows or Mac computer. With that, your photos are uploaded to and stored on Apple's servers, and are also cached locally on your iPhone, and on your computer.

You can also use a Mac to import photos directly from your iPhone using Image Capture or Photos, and to synchronize some or all of your contents back to the iPhone using Finder on recent versions, and iTunes on older.
On Windows, iTunes can be used to import photos.

Does that mean the usb type c flash drive I have purchased is of no use to take the photos off my iPhone? I have a laptop to connect through also.
