Cannot keep mission control in the dock

I'm using a Mac mini running Monterey. I use mission control a lot but can't get it to appear in the dock so every time I want to use it I have to do it through launchpad. If I can get it to appear in the dock while I'm using it I can use the option to keep in dock. but I can't do this as it doesn't appear. How can I get round this? I've managed to keep in dock all the other apps I use
