Macbook 16, remote control?

Has anyone experienced happily using the apple TV remote for iTunes, Keynote, etc., and then bought a Macbook Pro 16" ?

Have you been able to find a user-friendly remote control possibility?

As far as I know the infrared remote was removed years ago from the Mac...
