I switched from Android to iPhone so now have ALL Apple devices & no longer want to sync Apple to Google calendar on any of my devices. I know how to cease the syncing, but when I do, all my calendar events disappear. How do I save or import events from Google Calendar to Apple Calendar?

Ok, I never use the calendar in iCloud so, can't help you there. If I need to access my calendar through a browser, I just go to the Google calendar page. But, I don't like the built-in Mac Calendar application or the iCloud calendar so, perhaps I'm not the person to ask.
Have you tried going to Google Calendar through a browser, going into settings and selecting "Import & Export"? You can export your calendar and it looks as if the resulting file is one that you should be able to import into Mac Calendar on your computer. I'm not going to try it myself because I don't want to end up with anything in my iCloud calendar.

You can keep using your Google calendar account if you want. I have only Apple devices and use Google Calendar exclusively. All you need to do is log into your Google account in Settings>Calendar>Accounts and it will populate the built-in calendar app with all of your appointments.
Thanks for your reply. That's what I am doing for now... just keeping all my Apple devices synced to Google Calendar. But Google calendar events don't show up in my iCloud account no matter what I do, even though they're on all my devices & they are syncing with Google just fine. There are some peculiarities about Google Calendar I'm not crazy about and had hoped that by getting rid of Android & going back to all Apple devices I could just use Apple Calendar only with all devices synced to it through iCloud. Maybe that's not possible. I've wasted way too many hours researching trying to figure out how.
