How long does credit from an apple trade in last?

Hi, I had a terrible start to my day. I am in the middle of my final exams and pulled an all-nighter yesterday to find that there is damage to my enclosure, definitely due to the debris build up. I went to get it checked out and they offered me a quote of £100 for the trade-in for my 2017 model. I was wondering how long can I use this amount until? Thank you.

The trade in offer is only a Max estimate. What you do is make your purchase and then send the old unit off in the shipping box provided. You may or may not be offered the same as the estimate after the examination.

If you take the offer, you'll get the credit very quickly.

If you don't take the offer, they will ship you the old unit back free of charge.

How long the credit will sit on the books waiting for you to use it is different from how long the credit offer is good for. For that, you can take all the time you want as they have your computer. If you never let them know, they will keep the unit for as long as their procedures call for and then likely sell it as abandoned tech to help defray their costs.
