open keychain transferred from old imac

Bought a new iMac. Information from old one (2009) transferred by apple using migration. How do I get my saved passwords back?

Transferring Local wed passwords in Keychain to a new MacBook pro I recently upgraded to a new MacBook pro and I used migration assistant to move all of my previous data from my old MacBook Pro to the new machine from a time machine back up. Most of the information transferred but my local items in Keychain for web passwords did not. I have tried to export these items but the system will not let me, I have tried to move the old keychain file and add it to the new computer but it only transfers the logins. I still have access to the old computer and the time machine back up. I want to avoid using icloud Keychain if possible. How do I transfer all the stored login/passwords from keychain/local that populate Safari to the new computer?

Keychain Access did not copy password items to new mac I have recently purchase a new MacBook Pro, I used Time Machine to back up and copy everything from my old MacBook Air, then use Time Machine to transfer and started the new mac running. Everything seems to go well, but just noticed none of the passwords and keychains from Keychain Access was transfer to my new mac. How can i recover/transfer the keychain items in my new mac? Thanks a bunch for your help! Carol

If you selected all the options when using Migration Assistant including migrating your settings from your old computer then the passwords should have come across. Also, you were not very specific about how you used Migration Assistant so we are left guessing. My recommendation is that you may want to contact AppleCare so someone can assist 1:1 on the phone.
