Changing payment method

My iPad tells me to update my payment method, but when I get to the payment page to change the card I am not allowed to make any changes, can anyone help?

Regarding changing payment method I order iPhone 14 pro on the apple website and want to change the method of payment. But everytime I click on "update payment" button it displays something went wrong. I just need to change my card details to make the payment. I dont have any other apple products to login to iTunes/apple store and change my payment method - as was mentioned in some solutions. How can I change my mode of payment I am asking for a friend

Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods

You may need to add the new card first and then remove the old.
