If you need to use an App which requires a newer iOS, it will require a newer iPhone, which is capable of supporting the required iOS.
The iPhone 6, released by Apple eight years ago, cannot use an iOS version greater than 12.5.5.

Due to hardware limitations, an iPhone 6 is limited to using iOS 12.5.5.
