Good morning I want to know the best way to transfer photo's from my iphone 11m pro to hard drive and still have the date time and location
Sync with Photos on the Mac.

Be sure to backup your external drive too.
Yes. As always, be sure to have a different hard drive for your time machine (or similar) backup if you plan to backup your Mac and external hard drive with your photos.
Your most precious data ideally will have 3 copies, made 2 different ways, with 1 copy kept offsite.
There is not enough space there, needs to go to a external hard drive
I can move the library to the external hard drive? That would be great
