Why are we being constantly subjected to these endless updates?

No one is forcing you to update.

Hackers are always trying to find new ways to hack your iPhone and steal your personal information. Security updates help protect you against this type of thing.

If you are not interested in having the most up date security protection on your iPhone, or bug fixes for apps, then don't apply the update.

Bering in mind that all iOS updates may contain:

• new features
• bug fixes
• security patches

they are made available when needed.
