Can I recover deleted text messages from my I cloud back up?

In this regard, iCloud backup is designed more for “restoration” of lost or damaged devices than a classic “backup.”
Only the most recent backup is available.
iMessages (blue “bubbles”) are not “backed up” at all but are rather continuously “synced” in iCloud. A “Delete” anywhere deletes “EVERYWHERE.”
