Location services

Why can’t I turn on location services on my iPad (os 15.4.1) ? In general services I can’t toggle the switch for location services - it’s not lit. What did I do?

To LotusPilot: Turns out, I had disabled “allow changes” on the location and privacy screen. (I’m a noob!) But at least I’m os15 now. Woohoo! Thanks for your help. (I’m not really stupid, just uneducated!)

Try updating to the current version of iPadOS - this being iPadOS 15.5. The update will also restart your iPad - this action often clearing an isolated software issue.

If the problem persists after updating, perhaps you could post a screenshot of your settings page - as this may provide some clues.
