missing icloud space

About 100GB is missing from my icloud storage.

I have a 200GB icloud plan. My photos and other documents are barely 30GB but it says I have 82 gb of storage space left. It won't show what's occupying the remaining space.

On my iPhone, it just shows the occupied space greyed out and when I visit icloud on my mac, I don't even see the missing space. the breakdown only shows me space occupied by photos, others, and the available space.

I'd like to know what's taking up half my cloud space and how I can delete it.

Hey there Lynda_charles,

Have you checked the storage information using the iCloud website on your Mac? If not, we'd use the following steps to manage the iCloud storage and check if more information can be found on the website: https://support.apple.com/HT204247

Make more space available in iCloud

If you run out of iCloud storage, your device won’t back up to iCloud, new photos and videos won't upload to iCloud Photos, and iCloud Drive, other iCloud apps, and messages won't stay up to date across your devices. And you also won't be able to send or receive emails with your iCloud email address.

You can free up storage in iCloud by deleting content that you're not using:

- Reduce the size of your iCloud Backup
- Delete photos in iCloud Photos
- Delete folders or files in iCloud Drive
- Delete texts and attachments in Messages
- Delete messages and manage Mail
- Delete voice memos

Before you delete anything, you might want to archive or make copies of the information that you store in iCloud.

Due to the size of this space taken in iCloud, could this space be taken up by a backup of one of your devices?

Hoping to hear back, cheers.

Hello Lynda_Charles,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about "Other" storage on your device. The following link should be able to help explain What's in Others in your iCloud storage.

When you view your iCloud storage, you might see a category called Others. This is a grouping of categories, since a smaller screen can't always fit every category name. For example, Mail and Messages in iCloud might combine into Others on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but they'll still appear as their true category names on your Mac.

If you still need help, please Contact Apple Support.

Regards.

Thanks for your reply, jmanna13. Unfortunately, this doesn't really help because when I check the icloud storage on my mac, it doesn't show "other." There are just photos and videos, documents, and available space. But when you sum all that together, you get about 100 GB. The remaining 100GB is nowhere to be found.

Here is a screenshot from my mac so you can understand what I'm trying to say

PS, I'm in Nigeria and there's no available number for Apple support in Nigeria. There are no apple stores here either. I tried the designated numbers for South Africa and Egypt, but they weren't connecting.
