I have an email address on my iCloud email that is referred to as an alias email, how do I remove this? It belonged to my ex husband?

hey, i want to delete my alias email address, and i have tried many times but it didn't work. Reason why I want to change my alias address is it belong to my ex girl friend. So i really want to change my alias? I want to change this address or delete it.
