No, that was not helpful. Strava was telling me to go to settings>strava>motion and fitness and set it to on. That WAS on “on” the several times I tried to do that. I could also access that option from settings >privacy >motion and fitness, but that didn’t work either. I update my watch and phone automatically so I don’t know why the next thing I did actually worked, but, I deleted strava from my phone, which deleted it from my watch, then I reinstalled it on my phone, which reinstalled it on my watch. THEN, it prompted me to allow motion and fitness from the HEALTH app, and allow strava to send health data to HEALTH. That finally worked. I think strava really dropped the ball on that one. I’m guessing some update required the strava/health link to go through the health app and not through either settings’ privacy or strava functions. Somewhere someone should tell you to delete and reinstall strava to make this work. I know there are others in cyberspace wrestling with this, somehow the word ought to get out

Hi John Aubin1,

Is your iPhone up-to-date? If so, you may need to look through the Health app to make sure everything is setup properly: Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch

If you're only having an issue with Strava in particular you may want to delete the app and install it again. Keep in mind this may result in some data loss depending on how the app stores its information.

Take care.

Hey John Aubin1,

Thanks for letting us know uninstalling and reinstalling the app started the ball rolling, so you can the issue resolved.

Sometimes app updates need to be manually installed. It's always a good idea to check for any app updates periodically after an iOS updates, as many app developers will update their apps then.

How to manually update apps on your iPhone or iPad
1. Open the App Store.
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
3. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

For leaving feedback for a third-party app, you'll want to check on their web site to see if that is available.

Enjoy your day!
