Apple Watch / iPhone setup
I found a bug, but not sure where to post, so posting here as a question.
I have an iPhone 11 with the latest iOS version. My phone is managed by my work which basically implements security standards. One of which is requiring a long passcode for an Apple Watch (more than 4 digits).
I bought an Apple Watch series 5. When I received the Apple Watch the accessibility feature of VOICE OVER was enabled.
During the paring and setup process, when I got to the part where I need to enter a long passcode on the watch face, no matter how many digits I entered, I never saw the OK (Bottom left of watch face) or Backspace/delete red arrow (Bottom right of watch face) appear. I was basically stuck here and could do nothing. No input was available on the phone, just the option to go back, and no way to advance the process from the watch. I tried all types of passcodes just in case there was a policy I was unaware of set by my company. I had no repeating numbers, I tried longer than 4 digits, longer than 10 digits, longer than 20 digits, still nothing.
I was getting annoyed at the dang watch talking with every failure, so I ended up pressing the Digital Crown 3 times to disable the Voice Over.
With Voice Over disabled, the passcode input went perfectly! once I passed 4 digits, the OK and RED ARROW appeared and I was able to continue.
I found NOTHING online similar to this issue, so wanted to get this out there in case anyone else who may encounter this could have some help!
