The warranty clock starts ticking on the day the device is originally sold by Apple or an authorized retailer.

If you purchased a gray market phone from an unauthorized retailer, the clock started ticking before you bought it...

Where, exactly, and when did you buy the phone? What model phone is it? When did the warranty expire?
