I was messing around with my backups last night and a few hours later was checking my calender. All of my events had been deleted and only some of the birthdays were left. I tried restoring my backup, but that isnt working

Calendar events sync to email accounts, they are not part of a backup. If you deleted or disabled an email account recently it may have been the account hosting your calendar, so that’s the first thing to check. Next:
