missing clock in menu bar

the dim clock is actually a "feature". it tells you the status of "do not disturb" at a glance. 

when DND is turned on, the clock is dim.

but when it's off, the clock is bright

but if you place the DND icon permanently on the menubar the clock will stay bright regardless of if DND is turned off or on. instead, the DND icon goes dim or bright.

just open control centre and drag DND from control centre and drop it on your menubar. you drag it by the text, not the icon.

These are the only icons on the left-hand side, no control, DND, sound, WiFi, Bluetooth, or Screen.

In the preferences, these are all checked to be active and show up, none show up?

Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar and then scroll down in the Preferences sidebar and click Clock for the Clock options. There is no "Place in menu bar" option but there is an option to change the menu bar display from showing digital time to showing an analog clock.

you have a different issue than the OP. they are asking about a "faded" clock. your issue is a clock that completely disappears within a few ninutes of startup. i don't have a guess why your clock is disappearing. i think it would serve you best to start a New Thread so that you get the attention that your question deserves.
