This is a Global community. It may depend what country you are buying in.

First, you are not talking to Apple; we are all other users here and frankly, I have no idea what Apple's policy is right now. In my state, free bags have been discontinuued; they may give you one if you ask for it and will need to pay for it (a recent change to the law here to cut down on waste) - plastic is out and paper costs money. But, I have no idea what Apple's policy is.
