My iPhone 8, camera hunts in an out of focus and will not allow a picture to be taken since iOS 15.5 update - it finds focus and is non responsive then hunts for focus again, any ideas

It does, working very well with max capacity of 88%
you can do one thing just use your pc or laptop and bakup your data and then reset your iphone and restore bakup using itunes . Your problem will be fixed
